Black Dog Fitness ("we") runs blackdog.fitness.
What we collect
When you book a free intro or contact us through a form on this site, we receive what you enter: your name, mobile number and email. With it we store a record of your consent to text messages (whether you checked the box, the time, your IP address, your browser and the version of the consent text you saw), the page you submitted from, and any campaign tags on the link that brought you here (UTM parameters and Google, Meta or Microsoft click IDs). When you book a time, we store the appointment and any changes to it. When you text us, we store the message so our staff can reply.
How we use it
To schedule your intro, remind you about it, follow up afterwards, and tell you about memberships, Foundations and events at the gym. We also use it to measure which ads and campaigns bring people in. We don't sell your information.
Text messages
If you check the consent box, we send recurring automated marketing and informational texts (for example, a link to pick your intro time, appointment reminders and offers). Consent is not a condition of purchase, message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time or HELP for help. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Our messaging provider, Twilio, handles delivery on our behalf. Analytics and advertising
We use Cloudflare Zaraz to load Google Analytics 4, Google Ads and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, which help us understand how visitors use the site and measure our ads. These tools use cookies and similar technologies. If you arrive from an ad or campaign link, your browser remembers that link's campaign tags (UTM parameters and Google, Meta or Microsoft click IDs: gclid, fbclid and msclkid) for up to 30 days so a signup can be credited to the campaign. When someone who came from an ad books an intro or joins, we may report that conversion to Google Ads and to Meta through its Conversions API, using the click ID and a hashed (unreadable) version of the email or phone number. You can opt out with Google's opt-out browser add-on, your Facebook ad preferences, or your browser's cookie settings. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we don't load the Meta Pixel.
Third-party services
Our forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that you're not a bot without a puzzle. Texts are sent through Twilio and emails through Resend. Member accounts, plans and waivers live in PushPress, and we may create your record there when you book an intro. Pages may also load the PushPress class calendar and Google Maps, which have their own privacy policies. Our fonts are hosted on this site.
How long we keep it
We keep lead, booking and message records while we're in touch with you and for as long as we need them to show your consent and our conversation history. Opt-out requests are kept so we don't contact you again. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
Your choices
Reply STOP to any text to stop texts. Use the unsubscribe link in any email to stop emails. Or email or call us and we'll remove you from both.
